COERR Mae Sarieng Render Emergency Relief to Vulnerable Refugees and Victims of Fire

  On June 3, 2017, at 03.00 P.M., fire has broken out in Ban Mae La Ma Luang refugee camp in Sob Moei district, Mae Hong Son province. The fire has burned down one house and injured a vulnerable refugee who was immediately taken to hospital. While his children were safe. COERR visited his house and provided needy supplies for the family immediately.

 

During April-June, COERR Mae Sarieng paid visits to the vulnerable refugees especially the elderly and sick, and delivered needy household supplies, such as water buckets, stove; house repair materials, such as nails and cement, nutrient drinks for the sick, etc. to 52 people.

In addition, on June 13th and 14th, COERR held the agriculture activities for elderly in which 50 vulnerable elderly in Ban Mae Lama Luang camp and another 50 in Ban Mae La Oon camp were trained about how to grow vegetable for their own consumption. After the activities, the elderly received fertilizers and tools to enable them to start their own vegetable gardening at home.
